Its the Thought That Count

The sun was shining, it was a beautiful day. There were cotton clouds in the sky with a gentle wind blowing our way.
We lay in the grass and talked for hours, our conversations were deep but it never turned sour.
We had a picnic basket full of delights.
I had made everything and all of it just last night.
Fresh fruit, ripe berries, little sandwiches, cheese on crackers.
We ate and savored each bite, until out bellies were full and hearts full of laughter.
I kept thinking what a wonderful day, could this be for real?
I wanted to pinch myself, I could never make such a meal.
That’s when I opened my eyes and realized I was sleeping,
So I thought to myself for moment…
And then I thought for a little while longer
Finally
I turned to my love who lay there beside me and so loving asked
“What’s for breakfast? ”
Well it was the thought that count.

EYES IN DREAM

In your eyes it's a rainy day
In your eyes large sky turns grey
In my dream time goes back to the start
In my dream we will never be apart
In your eyes I read your story
In your eyes I find my memory
Pictures of past pass me by
I try my best not to cry
Why let your eyes tearful?
Why make my heart painful?
In your eyes I see my dream
In my dream I see your eyes…………
Come back,my love!
GO forever, my love!

How do I love thee

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

my childhood

I've been waiting for the time
Waitng for you to say you're mine
can't hide these feelings inside
let me hold you tonight
I really wany you to know
all these feelings all I have to show
How much I've been loving you
tell me you be mine
gonna love you keep on loving dear
I will love you tell the end of time
I'll be with you no matter what happen
I'll be there by your side
I will hold you hold you in my arms
I'll promise I won't let you go
stay with me make all our dreams come true
I'll give you all I have
cause you mean the whole world to me
I will love you with my heart
and we'll never part

Reading Selectively or Extensively?

With the development of science and technology, there has been a boom in the ways for us to get information. But reading books still remains essential to the acquisition of knowledge. The forms of reading may differ from person to person. Some prefer to read selectively rather than read extensively. To them, the range of knowledge is so wide that it's beyond their reach to cover every field. With purposeful reading, much of their time and energy will be saved. And it's no use to learn about things that have no relation to their own special field of study.

In contrast, others insist on reading extensively. In this fast changing information age, an all-round person is preferable to a person with a narrow range of knowledge and abilities. In order to keep pace with the highly developed society, they want to arm themselves with as much information as possible lest they should fall behind others and the world.

My view on reading is a combination of the two options. We should read selectively on the books that we major in or feel interested in. In the meantime, we should read extensively in order to enrich our knowledge, broaden our horizon, and lead a more colorful life.
